OCT Foundational Text v0.1

Subtitle: For an Ordering Category Theory in the Grammar of Human Science

0. Intent

This text was created with a double objective:- enrich the corpus of Ordinative Sciences;- propose a formalized extension of categorical theory capable of dialogue with contemporary human science. The basic thesis is simple: good syntactic formation is not enough to establish theoretical reality. A structure is scientifically alive when it shows relational coherence and functional emergence.

1. Starting Point

Classical category theory provides a powerful language for composition, transformation, and abstraction.OCT does not deny this basis: it assumes and extends it. The proposed extension introduces three explicit plans:1. syntactic level (classical categorical structures);2. organizational plan (coherence and singularity);3. emergent plane (emergent function and degeneration).

2. Foundation Thesis

An ordering category is not just a container of well-typed objects and morphisms. It is a dynamic field in which:- objects are singularities that cannot be reduced to pure substitutability;- morphisms are generative relations;- diagrams have full validity only when they produce coherent emergent function.

3. Programmatic Definition (v0.1)

Is: OrdCat = (O, tensor, I, Phi, Coh) Where:- O is a category;- (O, tensor, I) and a monoidal structure (possibly non-global symmetry);- Coh evaluates local and diagrammatic coherence;- Phi evaluates the functional emergence of the diagrams. The OCT states that not all categorical compositions are formally admitted and legally valid.

4. Ordinative Reality Criterion

An D diagram is OCT-real if:1. Coh_Omega(D) exceeds a minimum consistency threshold;2. Phi_Omega(D) and not nothing. Where Omega indicates the observation context within the system. A central distinction follows:- syntactic validity (classical);- ontological validity (ordinative).

5. Contribution to the Grammar of Human Science

OCT expands scientific grammar on five fronts:

  1. Composition with coherence constraintIt is not enough that the steps are composed correctly: they must be functionally compatible.
  2. Explicit observerThe evaluation is not absolute: it is contextual, but not arbitrary.
  3. Emergency as a scientific variableThe emergency is not rhetorical: it becomes a measurable, comparable, criticizable object.
  4. Structural pathologyFormally well-constructed systems can be degenerate (Phi=0), therefore not fully real.
  5. Disciplinary interoperabilityThe model bridges mathematics, AI, language, social psychology and systems theory.

6. Research Program

To truly enter the grammar of human science, OCT must produce:

  1. non-trivial theorems (beyond the lexicon);2. verification and refutation protocols (beyond narrative coherence);3. replicable case studies (beyond local intuition).

7. Epistemic Posture

This system must not be presented as a closed truth. It must be presented as a strong formal hypothesis with three obligations:- definitional rigor;- transparency of limits;- progressive testability. In this form, OCT does not replace classical science: it expands its operational grammar.

8. Immediate Next Step

Derive from this text:- a consolidated axiomatic section (v0.2);- a "candidate theorems" section;- a minimum verification protocol for AI and language.
